New Zealand – eTA / NZeTA visa

What is an eVISA/NZeTA?

The NZeTA is not a visa and does not guarantee entry to New Zealand. On arrival in New Zealand, travelers must still meet all existing entry requirements, such as having a return ticket, being a bona fide visitor and being in good health.

When should travelers apply for the NZeTA and pay the IVL?

You should apply for your NZeTA well in advance of your trip to New Zealand. It can take up to 72 hours for your NZeTA application to be processed.

What is IVL?

The International Visitor Conservation and Tourism Levy (IVL) is a way to directly contribute to the tourism infrastructure you use and help protect the natural environment you enjoy during your stay in New Zealand.
