O visto C Schengen é designado para fins turísticos, de negócios ou de visitas (sem emprego remunerado) para uma duração máxima de 90 dias a cada 180 dias.
Se uma estadia de mais de 90 dias é planejada, deve-se solicitar o visto D, que permite a seu titular permanecer na Áustria por até 6 meses.
Cada candidatura a visto é sujeita a um exame caso a caso pelo Consulado competente.
Titulares de um visto Schengen estão, a princípio, autorizados a entrar e permanecer nos Estados Schengen desde que o visto não esteja sujeito a restrições territoriais.
Os Estados Schengen são:
Alemanha, Áustria, Bélgica, Croácia, República Tcheca, Dinamarca, Eslováquia, Eslovênia, Espanha, Estônia, Finlândia, França, Grécia, Hungria, Itália, Letônia, Lituânia, Luxemburgo, Malta, Países Baixos, Polônia, Portugal, Suécia e os seguintes países não membros da União Europeia: Suíça, Noruega, Islândia e Liechtenstein.

DOCUMENTOS NECESSÁRIOS
No geral, documentos de apoio devem incluir uma tradução em alemão mediante solicitação do Consulado.
Ao apresentar os documentos em inglês, uma tradução ao alemão não é necessária. Contate, por favor, o Consulado responsável diretamente para esclarecer a necessidade de uma tradução apropriada dos documentos ao alemão.
A princípio, os seguintes documentos de apoio e informações são necessários:
Um formulário de solicitação devidamente preenchido e assinado.
Foto de passaporte de acordo com os critérios da ICAO (colorida, 35×45 mm)
Passaporte (com pelo menos 2 páginas vazias, com menos de 10 anos, válido por, pelo menos, 3 meses além da duração solicitada para o visto).
Recolhimento dos dados biométricos na forma de digitais, a menos se as mesmas já foram recolhidas nos últimos 59 meses no processo de uma decisão a respeito de uma solicitação de um visto Schengen (dez digitais, coletadas com dedos abertos e armazenadas digitalmente).

Scheduling for biometrics (if applicable)
When applying for a visa for the first time, biometrics (photo and fingerprint) must be collected in person at one of the visa application centers in Brazil. We will make appointments for customers.

Collecting your passport from the consulate and returning it
After submitting the documents to one of the visa application centers, the documentation will be delivered to the consulate. We will monitor it daily and, if there is a consular requirement, we will report it to the applicant. At the end of the process, we will collect your passport and return it to our office in Belo Horizonte.
